PC vs. Mac

Before you make fun of me for talking about this subject, allow me to clarify. I am not one of those computer-nerd kids with thick glasses, no social skills, and a pocket protector. I am a computer-nerd kid with thick glasses, minimal social skills, and a pocket protector. Now that that's clear, let me say this. I was in the SCAD (say it aloud--doesn't it even sound snobby?) computer lab burning CDs with my friend and her sister. Anyway SCAD (which stands for the Savannah College of Art and Design) is allegedly one of the most reputable arts schools in the nation, and because of this, I thought to myself, well it takes my 4 year-old PC laptop around 15 minutes to burn a CD, so with technology progressing at its usually exponential rate, it should take, like, 15 seconds to burn one on these new-fangled Macs, right? WRONG. Burning a CD for these supposedly advanced machines took, like, forever!

Here is a picture of us and the Macs, hard at work:

Man, it is not that hard to burn a CD. All you do is get a little flame going, toss the thing in there and WHOOSH! You got yourself one burned CD...

I am an idiot....

Seven minutes, max, for CD burning.
